I bought this puzzle for my 2 year old. She loves dressing the ballerina in all of the different combinations. She plays with the chunky puzzles and the ones with large knobs but they were easy for her. She had no trouble with this one. We have not had a problem with the wrapping or the pieces not fitting it. This is an excellent, well-made puzzle that my daughter loves.
However when this puzzle was put together, first they did a poor job of cutting the pieces out and not all of them fit together well. I bought my daughter 3 of the Melissa and Doug Mix and Match puzzles. We have had to do the puzzle many times over to get some of the pieces to even fit where they are supposed to, and even now they still stick. This was the last one that I gave to her. I have to say it is her favorite and the one she plays with the most. Also they shrink wrapped the puzzle before they put the pegs in the holes. So there were little pieces of shrink wrap that were stuck to the pieces because they had been glued in there.
